TIP LAMP – A MODERN RENDITION OF THE CLASSIC ARCHITECT’S LAMP
With the new Tip Lamp for Muuto, designer Jens Fager wanted to create a simple, functional design with careful attention to detail. Intended for use in various settings—from home offices to hotel tables—the simplified expression of the lamp is intrinsic to its distinct appearance. Precision cast from powder coated aluminium and offered in a range of colours, the sleek lamp is pared back to the very essence of its function: to shine light where needed. Offering direct as well as ambient light, the lamp’s adjustable head and arm feature an opal diffuser and dimmer function that effortlessly alters the volume of light.
Named after the subtle tip at the head of the lampshade, which features laser cut grooves that accentuate its gently rounded shape and allow the light to shine upwards as well as downwards, the Tip Lamp elegantly illuminates any space.

During the design process, I focused on polishing every single detail while emphasising the functional aspect of the lamp: I wanted to reduce the design to the very essence of its purpose. The moulded aluminium frame lends the Tip Lamp a clean, precise look, underscoring its subtle aesthetic.”
